Reviewing Real Estate Investor “Gurus” On The Internet

The amount and depth of information available on the internet concerning real estate investing is growing every single day. The number of people who consider themselves to be “real estate gurus” is exploding, and each day sees the birthing of new websites and blogs related to real estate investing.

You won’t be shocked to learn that some of the things you’ll find online lack credibility. So considering that state of affairs, here are some ideas about some of the real estate investing resources you’ll find out there. Important: We do not pretend to pass judgment on any of these people or resources – that’s your job.

* Terry Wygal is a Texas real estate investor who fancies himself an expert in the field of search engine optimization. His “secret” is to teach people to submit videos to services like YouTube and Google Video, even though this strategy is widely known and totally free.

* Bryan Ellis is a little-known internet marketing expert with a very strong background in technology, real estate investing and internet marketing. Ellis has a blog that’s a little intense for new investors, but is extremely attractive to seasoned pros who want a deeper understanding.

* Gerald Romine sells his software package to real estate investors, who use it to determine what to offer on property deals and to complete their legal paperwork. Gerald Romine’s software does not come cheaply, but it is well done.

With the exception of Bryan Ellis (who seems to keep a low profile), these people are known widely in the real estate investing business. But being popular isn’t an indicator of ethics, reliability or legitimacy. For your own benefit, we encourage you to conduct a more thorough investigation.
