The Unbelievable Life of Nicholas Bredimus
Sunday, February 28th, 2010Are you aware of how countless advances in computing have completely redesigned hospitality and air travel in the past decade or so? Behind all of this is New Jersey native Mr Nicholas Bredimus. He has worked on projects varying from the creation of time-saving software programs to advancing airplane safety and designing high value homes. His pedigree reveals everything you might want to know concerning the source of his skills and how much he has achieved. Coming together from many nationalities, his line can be traced all the way into ancient history, with his mother’s side predominantly German and Scottish. England and Luxembourg, meanwhile, provided home to his paternal line, although during the 1800s his family came to America.
That remarkable spirit pushed them on after their arrival. Part of a family of seven siblings, Nicholas would be born to a father working as a mechanical design engineer and a mother who worked as a nurse. Bredimus would make his home in the Lone Star State for several years and also spent time in Scottsdale, AZ, Kansas City, MO and Reston, VA. And what, you may ask, did Nicholas Bredimus do to capitalize on his upbringing and education? A string of respected jobs were soon his, each working with huge airlines. Trans World Airlines (TWA), Republic Airlines, Hughes Airwest — these businesses would all at one time or another respectively name him their VP. Most prominent, even considering this, was his prowess as an inspired programmer working with the airlines.
His groundbreaking innovations in the field of airplane maintenance management programs, typical now throughout the airline sector while first coded for US Airways, ultimately led to what is surely his most famous achievement. This was just one of his standout designs for airlines and for the hotel business. His hotel reservation software is on its way to joining the aforementioned program as a standard, and his room booking system empowered a great number of major businesses in the hotel industry to leverage a PC based architecture. For an encore came an automated, networked approach to ticket ordering which stands as a first. He employed these successes to move into roles less connected to software design, and we should note that he went on to excel. He was division manager for American Express’ renowned IT department, launched Bredimus Systems in the early nineties, and had the honor of being the founding president of a major American Airlines division. You ask if he is still active? Decidedly so — his expertise is ready to answer the call regardless his having left prior interests behind. He is now involved in the architectural problems tied to the design of environmentally neutral, hitech upmarket houses. It’s astonishing how far passion will carry you…
