It’s About Experiences, Not Logos

Sunday, June 29th, 2008

A lot of marketing experts (self-proclaimed) would have you believe that a logo and corporate identity package is all there is to a brand. I know some businesses which want to change their logo regularly in hopes that it will somehow magically improve their brand and their business. Woe are they.

Smart marketers, however, know that the brand is the sum total of what people think about your organization, and that it is expressed in every contact customers have with you.

Marketing folk often are guilty of trying to make branding look more complex than it is. We come up with all sorts of branding terms: 3D branding, branding triad, brand harmonisation. Go here to see some definitions.

Branding is not complex but it is hard. It requires you to listen to customers and understand what they want from you. Discover what customers think of your brand. If they like your brand, keep delivering the experience consistently. If they don’t like it, fix it. Consistently communicate your brand message. Constantly monitor all of the above. Repeat.

Sometimes you must make a tough decision in order to protect the brand.

Consider Starbucks. It has a simple brand statement: A great coffee experience. It influences everything the company does from its logo, store design and employee selection, and even choice of toilet paper. I’m not making this up.

The story goes that some green-eyeshade-consultant found a way to shave costs significantly by changing over to one-ply TP. Starbucks’ marketers held firm for the two-ply because they knew that something as simple as cheap toilet paper can ruin the goodwill a brand has built.

Now one-ply may not degrade your brand equity, or Wal-Mart’s for that matter. But if Starbuck’s is keeping an eye on the toilet, shouldn’t you be ensuring your most basic “touchpoints” aren’t circling the drain?

Discover a Little Dildo for a Great Orgasm with your Yummy Partner

Thursday, June 26th, 2008

Some guys have a tough time keeping a tooled up pecker and some females have wonderfully long sex drives, meaning it will take the lady an awfully long time to climax Because of this contrast in sex drives, sex might well turn into a frustrating and unsatisfying sexual session. That’s why large dildos may be helpful. If the gent spunks early in the game, or even if the chick just takes longer than her bloke, he can continue to penetrate the gal with the large dildo. That way all sexual activity doesn’t stop. It gives the man substantial time to charge his batteries and also keeps the girl aroused. Consequently when the guy is prepared to come back into the love making session, the woman will still be aroused enough to accept the male.

Your very most sensual zone is your brain. And as far as many females won’t admit this, the penis is an ancient symbol of fertility, no matter how massive or tiny, it is still associated with power. Penetrating your girl with a big dildo might often make a fantasy of power activity reality.

Some females love the sensation of feeling full in their vagina or anus. Whenever a sex aid such as a great big dildo, penetrates the vagina or back passage, the muscles contract around it. Countless girls notice the tightening of all of these muscles to be particularly enjoyable. Looking for the a great orgasm then get Adult and Sex Toys.

Wednesday, June 25th, 2008

No 1 bet on sports com games here: Win big today!

Connect the two of everybody’s predominating pursuits and you’ve got is a mania we call a Web sportsbook. Well, what could conceivably be more original… If you picture a convocation of sports buddies clapping to support a local lineup, and almost all the time wagers are established to complement the rumpus. So very keen to get a share of the exhilaration, onlookers typically endeavor to conjecture who will prevail the impending competition. All of this develops into a good-humored competition titled Web sportsbook.

In order to place a bet, you’ll probably want to search out a Web sportsbook, i.e. a setup that accepts Web sportsbook. In the United States, there’s a total of no less than four states where people can do sportsbook gambling in a legitimate manner, but beyond legal you can attempt it wherever providing you pinpoint a bookie and you are of legal age. Among the sports you can choose to risk some money on are pro coupled with college basketball and college football, professional baseball, professional hockey, coupled with bets on both horse and dog racing. You’ll be able to wager on the entire tally of a contest, on what round a given opponent will go under, and even if a coin toss in a contest lands either heads or tails.

We’ll be able to select a lot of different brands of stakes, the straight bets, where you simply quote the contestant which you think will make it or be beaten being the best known in sportsbook gambling.

Why not give it a try and have lots of fun in tandem… But be sure that you won’t get seized and exhaust your total social security checks on a caprice. After all you will end up feeling sorry all your life.

How to Get Rid of Your Worries: 5 Golden Rules and a Warning

Tuesday, June 24th, 2008

Suresh was a worried person when he came to me . “Sir what if I don’t get placement ? I feel that I will fail in the coming exam. I don’t know how my family will face this!” It seemed to me he was imagining all problems and getting very much worried!! This is the case of many of us; we keep worrying about events that have only remote possibility to happen. Once a friend of mine put on footwear and later knew that a dog may have bitten it the day before. The moment he knew it he began to worry; what if my leg had an unseen wound and the dog was a mad dog? Added to this was the doubt what will happen if he takes a vaccination and there is a reaction to it? Finally he had to consult many doctors to convince that he was worrying for nothing!! In this short article I try to give five methods to avoid unnecessary worries.

1. Be in the present:

When a thought train begins or when you find that a thought train carries you away, intentionally come back to the present and look at a tree or beautiful or interesting scene in the present and think about it.

2.Analyze:

Get the facts and analyze them to see whether your worry is well founded. In many cases you will find that you are worrying for nothing. Also if it is problem with an emotional factor you will benefit very much from looking it from an outsiders perspective, or even in the perspective of some other person. Another way is to look at the problem from a future point of time. You will find changed dimensions of the problem by this.

3.Think positively:

Positive ideas and constructive thought have great power, while negative ideas and destructive thinking poison your mind. Whenever you find that you are slipping into negative thoughts, make a conscious effort to replace them with positive thoughts and positive feelings.

4 Become Engaged. It is often told that an Idle mind is devils workshop. An Idle mind is just like a monkey, moving to unnecessary places. But if you engage yourselves in activities, your worries are forgotten and you are better off. Find a hobby or creative activity which will detract you from your worries.

5. don’t get isolated. Talk to other people, not about your worries but about them, their plans and their views. Also assume the role of a patient hearer. When you find that you are sharing their problems and trying to solve them, your view will be changing from a worried man to a problem solver. Also you may find that your worries are petite compared to their real problems!!

Warning : Never use intoxication as a solution of your worries. It will increase the depression and also cause more damage.

How to Easily Obtain a Basic and Elegant Style-Without Going Bankrupt!

Monday, June 23rd, 2008

With each new season, a new trend appears. The time comes when one does not know what to do to keep up with the fashions! And worst of all, everything gets so complicated and then boils down to the question, What should I wear?

Has this ever happened to you? You have to dress up to go somewhere, to an informal meeting or to a dinner out with friends, and you don’t know what to put on… If this has happened to you, most likely you don’t have a good wardrobe base. Keep on reading this newsletter, and we’ll show you how to create one:

How can the everyday woman keep an updated wardrobe at all times?
Jackie Onassis, Grace Kelly or even Gwyneth Paltrow are figures of female elegance. All of them have in common what sets them apart: a unique and non-transferable style; they are not slaves to trendsthey use them to add new touches to their classic and personal style.

What is the key, then, to being stylish?

They key to developing a simple yet elegant style is buying clothing items that are basic and vital, taking advantage of the multiple combinations that these will allow.

These key components of your wardrobe are the ones that ensure that you’ll never find yourself without anything to put on.

You should spend whatever is necessary to get these articles, always keeping your budget in mind, of course.

They also have the added advantage of reducing the time you spend on deciding what to put on or what to pack in a suitcase when you travel.

BASIC, VITAL CLOTHING ITEMS THAT MUST NOT BE MISSING FROM YOUR WARDROBE

The following points describe your wardrobe’s basic essentials and how to get maximum benefit from them:

1. The super basics: Lingerie that adapts itself to you.
Start the house at the foundation, not at the roof.

First of all, make sure that you know your bra size well. Many women use bras that are not their size. The correct bra size will make your clothing look better on you; you’ll feel more comfortable and you won’t have to spend the entire day adjusting it.

TIP: Underwear must be comfortable and made of cotton or a percentage of cotton. Buy underwear that is elastic and that moves with your movements and that is not noticeable beneath your clothing.

2. A stylish suit: The classic basic for all seasons.
Every woman needs a suit.

Black is the best option, but if you wish to look more relaxed, try beige, dark green or a color that you like and that’s not too bright so that it won’t go out of style too quickly.

TIP: You should buy the suit, especially a black, brown or neutral one, together with a skirt for the same suit. Many suits come with a skirt or pants; what’s ideal is to buy both so that you have more options.

• Get the most out of your suit:

You can use the pantsuit with a business shirt to look elegant.

You can use the skirt and jacket with a suitable shirt to look feminine.

You can combine the pants with a sweater, tank top or cami.

Or you can combine the jacket with jeans for a weekend look.

You can wear the skirt with a sexy blouse to go out to dinner in the evening.

3. The indispensable little black dress
It’s essential to have a “little black dress” hanging in your closet (how “little” the dress is depends on you and what you feel comfortable with).

TIP: It’s better to buy a dress with a classic cut, staying away from anything excessively revealing; that way you’ll be able to use it on any occasion.

• Get the most out of your black dress:

You can wear it with high heels to go out in the evening. If you put your hair up and use a stole, you’ll give it a very elegant touch.

You can also combine it with high-heeled sandals, slicking your hair back with gel for a sexy and glamorous look.

You can combine it with a knit jacket and flats to use it during the day.

4. An absolute must for all seasons: jeans.

It’s very unusual to find a woman today who doesn’t have a pair of jeans in her closet.

The difficulty arises in choosing the jeans that are the most appropriate for you among the immense variety that is available.

TIP: Visit the greatest possible number of stores and try on all the jeans that are necessary until you find the ones that favor you the most. It’s important that they be somewhat elastic so that they adapt to your figure and are more comfortable to wear. Try to choose a darker cloth, which will give you a more slender and elegant figure. Don’t be afraid of the mirror; look at yourself thoroughly from all available angles. Sit down, bend forward, move until you are assured that they’re comfortable. Lastly, don’t forget that the length of the jeans should adapt to the height of the shoe you plan on wearing.

• Get the most out of your jeans:

You can wear them with a suit jacket and a T-shirt for an informal look.

You can wear them with sneakers and a sweater for a sporty and comfortable look.

You can wear them with heels and a studded rhinestone top to go out in the evening and look fantastic.

You can combine them with a business shirt…

Keep an eye out for the next personal image newsletter because next week we’ll reveal the basic accessories; you’ll learn which are essential to give that unique and stylish touch to your personal image…

Hotel Fire Safety: Steps That You Should Take to Ensure That Your Stay is a Safe One

Friday, June 20th, 2008

Almost without exception, each of us has traveled away from our homes and stayed in a hotel, motel, or a bed and breakfast establishment. Oftentimes we become “relaxed” while away as we fail to make ourselves aware of the dangers a fire presents especially in an unfamiliar environment. Let’s take a look at some of the things you should do to minimize your risks while away from home.

Even before embarking on a trip, fire fighting experts strongly suggest you research to find out if your hotel has a fire safety plan in place. Does the establishment have smoke detectors and a sprinkler system? In addition, you should pull together and pack a personal survival kit which includes a flashlight, a portable smoke detector, and a roll of wide duct tape. When traveling abroad you should learn the word for “fire” in the native language.

Promptly upon check in you should ask about the hotel’s evacuation plan, find out where the fire alarms are located, and check to see if there are smoke detectors and a sprinkler system in your room. If the establishment is deficient in any of these areas, strongly consider staying somewhere else.

Once you are in your room check the windows to make sure they open and close properly (if they are not the sealed type). Identify at least two ways out of the room, if available, and learn how to unlock your door in the dark. Keep your room key and flashlight by your bed and remember where they are at all times.
Should a fire start in your room, leave immediately and bring your room key with you. Close the door and sound the fire alarm. Quickly walk to safety and do not use the elevator. Once you are on the ground floor, leave the building immediately.

If a fire begins elsewhere in the building take your key and a flashlight. Put the back of your hand against the door to see if it is hot and then check the hallway for smoke. If smoke has been detected, crawl low along the floor and exit by way of the first stairwell you see. Again, do not use the elevator.

If upon touching the door to your room you find it to be hot or if there’s a great amount of smoke in the hallway, the fire is nearby and you will need stay in your room. Call for help, fill the bathtub with water, and cram the bottom of the door with wet towels or a throw rug. Tape the edges of the door and, if possible, hang a sheet from a window to signal for help. If your windows are sealed, attempt to smash them open with a chair or other blunt instrument. Finally, wait for the fire professionals to come to you and never attempt to jump from your room’s window.

Do these preventative measures seem extreme to you? They may seem that way if you are not a frequent traveler. Many of the fire codes we take for granted in the USA are much lower — if not at all existent — in certain other countries. Take the necessary precautions before your trip to ensure that your stay at an establishment is a safe one.

Publicity Performance Not Enough?

Thursday, June 19th, 2008

Even after a nice piece in a national publication, or a
stint on a popular talk show, do you still have a feeling
that your public relations dollar could be better spent?

As a business, non-profit or association manager, do
questions like that linger in your mind?

Because if they do, you may be coming down with a real
case of “I want my PR money’s worth!”

If that’s how you feel, I’d guess that you’re probably doing
very little that’s positive about the behaviors of those
important outside audiences of yours that most affect your
operation.

Which means you may be failing to create external stakeholder
behavior change that leads directly to achieving your
managerial objectives. In other words, failing to persuade
those key outside folks to your way of thinking, or move them
to take actions that allow your department, division or
subsidiary to succeed.

Be assured that the right public relations really CAN alter
individual perception and lead to the changed behaviors you
need. But it will require more than special event parties,
brochures and news releases if you honestly want that PR
money’s worth.

Fortunately for all of us, people really do act on their own
perception of the facts before them, which leads to
predictable behaviors about which something can be done.
When we create, change or reinforce that opinion by
reaching, persuading and moving-to-desired-action the very
people whose behaviors affect the organization the most,
the public relations mission is accomplished.

The results of such activity can be truly surprising: stronger
relationships with the educational, labor, financial and
healthcare communities; prospects starting to work with
you; customers making repeat purchases; improved
relations with government agencies and legislative bodies,
and even capital givers or specifying sources looking your
way.

The passage of time should add still more results: for
example, enhanced activist group relations, membership
applications on the rise; new proposals for strategic alliances
and joint ventures; rebounds in showroom visits; community
service and sponsorship opportunities; and expanded
feedback channels, not to mention new thoughtleader and
special event contacts.

The fact that your most important outside audiences really
perceive your operations, products or services in a positive
light is a key plank in your PR platform. So vital, in fact,
that your PR people must buy into the effort from the get-go.
Be especially careful that they accept the reality that
perceptions almost always lead to behaviors that can help or
hurt your unit.

Take the time to review the PR blueprint in detail with
your staff, especially how you will gather and monitor
opinion by questioning members of your most important
outside audiences. Questions like these: how much do you
know about our organization? How much do you know
about our services or products and employees? Have you
had prior contact with us and were you pleased with the
interchange? Have you experienced problems with our
people or procedures?

Gathering opinion data for the perception monitoring
phases of your program can certainly be handled by
professional survey people, should the budget be available.
But always remember that your PR people are also in the
perception and behavior business and can pursue the same
objective: identify untruths, false assumptions, unfounded
rumors, inaccuracies, misconceptions and any other
negative perception that might translate into hurtful behaviors.

A word about your all-important public relations goal. You’ll
need one that speaks to the problems that cropped up during
your key audience perception monitoring. Probably, it will
require correcting that gross inaccuracy, straightening out that
dangerous misconception, or doing something about that
damaging rumor.

In this business, a goal needs a strategy to show you how to
get where you want to go. Also, there are just three strategic
choices available to you when it comes to handling a perception
or opinion challenge: create perception where there may
be none, change the perception, or reinforce it. As luck would
have it, the wrong strategy pick will taste like marshmallows
on your refried beans, so be certain the new strategy fits well
with your new public relations goal. For example, you don’t
want to select “change” when the facts dictate a “reinforce”
strategy.

What’s needed here is the right, corrective phrases.
Persuading an audience to your way of thinking is genuinely
hard work. We need words that are compelling, persuasive and
believable, as well as clear and factual. This must be done
if you are to correct a perception by shifting opinion towards
your point of view, leading to the desired behaviors.

Now we pick out those communications tactics most likely
to carry your words to the attention of your target audience.
Sit down again with your communications specialists and read
your message for impact and persuasiveness. Then select
from dozens of available tactics such as speeches, facility tours,
emails, brochures, consumer briefings, media interviews,
newsletters, personal meetings and many others. But be certain
that the tactics you use are known to reach folks just like
your audience members.

Since the credibility of a message can depend on its delivery
method, you could introduce it to smaller gatherings rather than
using higher-profile communications such as news releases or
talk show appearances.

When the topic of progress reports comes up, it’s your reminder
that the PR team should return to the field for a second perception
monitoring session with members of your external audience.
Using many of the same questions used in the first benchmark
session, you’ll now be watching very carefully for signs that
your communications tactics have worked and that the negative
perception is being altered in your direction.

Should you want to move things along a little faster, accelerate
your PR program with a wider selection of communications
tactics AND increased frequencies.

Now, hopefully, when it becomes obvious to you that publicity
performance just is not enough, you will undertake to do
something positive about the behaviors of those important
outside audiences of yours that most affect your operation.
In other words, create external stakeholder behavior change
that leads directly to achieving your managerial objectives.

Again hopefully, you will do the job by persuading those key
outside folks to your way of thinking, thus moving them to
take actions that allow your business, non-profit or association
to succeed.

Car Ground Effects: Should You Install Yourself?

Tuesday, June 17th, 2008

To make your car handle and look better you need the right car ground effects. Use aero-dynamic wings, spoilers, dams or skirts to get the down force plus the stylish look you have been looking for. These car ground effects features are not just pretty add-on’s, they are designed to really work on your car, truck, jeep or suv ! Generally, they are wind-tunnel tested to generate huge rear down force to dramatically improve traction and keep your vehicle stable at high speeds without draining power from the engine.

In general you will save a bundle if you buy car ground effects from distributors carrying non OEM aftermarket brands (not the accessory offered by the dealer). The quality is comparable and the cost is much lower. If you install yourself you will save even more. But, should you be installing car ground effects yourself ? The answer depends on your skills and on the type of part and material selected.

Car ground effects products made in urethane and with simple designs are generally easier to install because they are lightweight and flexible. They usually come with double back 3M high strength tape which bonds the parts to your car tightly. Some manufacturers (like Wings West) offer great videos and detailed instructions on the installation of ground effects for cars. Products made out of fiberglass or with more elaborate designs, such as design style side skirts, require a lot of skills and experience. To explain it is important to understand the full process.

Installation is not the only step required in order to have a finished product. Before final installation there is a “dry fitting” procedure involved which requires experience in order to accomplish it properly, then there is the
prepping procedure, installation and of course painting. Dry fitting refers to the procedure where the installer makes all the necessary adjustment to the product in order to make it fit perfectly. It involves trimming, grinding
and filling gaps in order to have the pieces fit the contour of the car. This is a procedure that is best left to aprofessional body man who has done this type of work before, since he can do it a lot faster and cheaper then someone who has no experience.

If you are considering the purchase of car ground effects made out of fiberglass or with elaborate designs find the right shop to do the installation for you, before you make the purchase, to avoid unpleasant surprises. Look for a body man that has at least 1 year experience in installing all types of ground effects in different materials. He would be able to do the job in less time for less money, then a body man with 30 years of experience but who has never installed a car ground effect before.
